Great day for a Snowshoe walk in the Wilderness

 Our class had just the best day snowshoeing in Manning Park. The sun was shining, the snow was sparkling...well, here is our day in one of our student's words: On the 17th (yesterday) we went snowshoeing with the rest of our class and Mrs. Fitz from Agassiz  Secondary School. It was so much fun! The bus took us up to Manning Park at 8:30 and we arrived at about 10:30. The ride up was about two hours which may sound long but time flew because I was sitting by my friends who kept me company. When we got there, were taught how to bind up our snowshoes. It was hard at first but all the teachers were there to help. Then the journey began! The feel of walking in snowshoes at first is weird, especially if you have never done it before. I got used to it by taking slow steps at first and then when I felt comfortable, trying to climb a hill. I ended up getting to the top in no time, and we had our class picture taken on top of it!
