Hello from grade 5/6! We have been pretty busy this month with finishing our decimal math unit, starting a measurement unit, working through our novel study, Stargirl, making a brochure for Harrison Hot Springs in French, and researching a human body system and making a presentation for our learning. The classroom atmosphere has improved, as we have been working on appropriate humour and cutting out the derogatory comments. My favourite is now they call each other monkeys. The students have been really good about wearing their masks. We've had 3 birthdays this month: William, Roman and Austin. And we were all thrilled to welcome back Keira to our class! Next week we will focusing on Earth Day activities.  We've been trying to make the most of the gorgeous weather this week.  Check out the nature mandalas we made and the beautiful walk we went on today.
